Des gâteaux, des quiches, des tartes, et des pizzas

Here are some pastries and other baked goods for your Monday. Hope they brighten your day.
I took the photos in 2006 in Blois, so these particular cakes and pies might be a little stale by now.
However, there are plenty of fresh ones available all over France.

I'm off to Loches on an errand this morning. That will take my whole morning. Walt is making pizzas for our lunch.
Bonne Journée !

  1. I'd love to have any of those delicacies on my flight a little later. By the way, I gave you the wrong number for the flight, it is 0054.

  2. My Publix supermarket has displays that look somewhat like your photo. The problem is the taste is not as good.

  4. Love that list of short place names. I knew about Fa and Apt, but who knew you could go to France and be in Oz? Wait'll the Australians hear about it.
I agree with Evelyn re the looks vs. taste of supermarket cakes. Even the places where they supposedly bake on premises aren't quite up to snuff.

    1. The same is true of supermarket cakes and pies here in France too. They don't have the good taste that home-made ones have or, especially, the ones you get in a good pâtisserie or boulangerie.
