The sun finally came back out for a couple of days.
Yesterday's sunrise was bright and clear. And cold.

Problem is, we're supposed to get snow today and tomorrow. I think
I'd better go to SuperU and make sure we have all the food essentials for the weekend.

Hi ken, it's Roz from the other St Aignan, I can't get to your email, the link doesn't seem to work but I would like to pick your brains, how do you get your top picture to that size, mine always comes out too big as you will see if you visit http://france-ourlifeinfrance.blogspot.fr/
ReplyDeleteplease email me if you can help to messageangels@gmail.com
Thanks in advance
Roz
Hello Roz, I just looked at the e-mail address in my profile, and it's correct. Don't know why it wouldn't work, but stranger things have happened.
ReplyDeleteFor my banner photo, I have to know the total column width of my blog — "content" + sidebar. Then I resize the photo to that width, or a little less that that width. Hope you work it out.
I see that it's snowing a bit in Alençon, so I'm wondering if it has indeed come your way.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ken, I have sorted it now thank you so much, hope you haven't got too much snow
ReplyDeleteJudy and Roz too, we've had no real snow yet -- just a few flakes. Now they're saying that we can expect a mix of snow and freezing rain for tomorrow. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteHi BettyAnn, I will never forget that storm the evening you and Danielle came to the house for apéros -- with the attic hatch blowing open and hitting Walt in the face. And I remember well that Cheryl was here too. Now I'll remember that the kitchen had already been painted yellow by then -- late May 2008.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!
ReplyDeletehey Ken! totally off topic.. do you have a reference (in english) for making croissants? i'm just off 2 days of giving it a try. the results were good but not great - i'd love to figure this out. do you have anything that could help? do you make them?
ReplyDelete:-D
Hi OhioGirl, Walt and I haven't ever made croissants, since they are so readily available here. But we have talked about trying to make some just for fun (Walt the baker in the family). We would use Julia Child's recipe. I found this blog that looks like an interesting take on JC's croissant-making process. And here's a French video about making croissants that you might enjoy watching.
ReplyDeletewow! thanks Ken! i did ok with mine - you can see them here:
