I'm trying to decide which town that is. Did you eat out? I thought you were planing on home cooked turkey for dinner - I'm confused!! Hope you had a nice birthday!
Inside the cathedral there is a famous triptych, Vierge en gloire, which was especially recommended to me by my friend P. It is attributed to a Dutch painter, Jean Hey. Vaut le détour et à ne pas manquer!

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo...the light was just right. I like your birthday cutlery.
ReplyDeleteOh that opened brochure on the table says it all :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's the TV guide! We were checking on what the Thalassa show was about that evening.

DeleteWhat a beautiful city on the river! Nice dinner also. Does mustard go well with turkey?
ReplyDeleteThat jar of Maille is mayonnaise, not mustard. I like mayo with cold chicken, turkey, or pork, and with cold boiled potatoes.
DeleteYummy!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read, "A city on a river, with two tall churches...." I thought maybe the rest of the post would rhyme. :-)
Hey Ken, That looks like a good plateful! Enjoy the year....and the next and the next, etc.
ReplyDeleteTraveling mercies for you both, if you are traveling.
