Leaving Paris
Arriving in Raleigh

Things here in Morehead City are getting serious. Today is moving day #1. We have until Monday afternoon to get everything transferred to the new apartment. Did I tell you that Coast Guardsmen will be helping us? They could see we might be swamped. Wish us luck.
Glad to know Coast Guardsmen are going to help with the move, especially with furniture that is heavy and bulky. Don't overdo it. Keeping my fingers crossed :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have to clear a path through the apartment so that the big pieces of furniture can be taken out. Right now, boxes full of stuff are blocking the way.
DeleteIs that a clever play on words, Ken? ;)
ReplyDeleteDo be careful not to overdo!
You mean the "swamped" thing? I thought that was a good one. We are lucky that the local Guardsmen and Guardswomen get points for doing charity work in the community.
DeleteI helped a friend with this just last Monday -- hard, back-breaking work! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou are a good friend, Ellen.
DeleteNice pictures from the plane. ;-)
ReplyDeleteToo bad you and chm couldn't take the same flight. Even though it looks like a small distance on the map, I'm sure it's a long drive from suburban DC to coastal NC.
Hope the move goes well.
It's a six hour drive. It used to be seven hours back when I lived in D.C. but they've improved the roads over the past 30 years.
