  1. WOW! Merry Christmas to you too.
Do I see in the extreme upper left of photo #1 publicity for Troquet a restaurant close to my place in Paris?

    1. Now, being serious, I usually like modern stained-glass windows, but this “troquet” one is really too busy.
Now that I have my glasses on, the troquet becomes Iroquois in this Franco-Canadian stained-glass window. In my opinion, if it is too busy, it still is very colorful.
All these photos are very good.

  2. The people of Dieppe have long had friendly relations with the Canadians, including the Iroquois. Photos 1 through 7 in this post show things you see in the Église Saint-Jacques. Photos 8 and 9 show stained glass in the Églish Saint-Rémy. Both churches (and several more) are in Dieppe.

  3. Hmm, it doesn't look like the windows in photo 1 are depicting the friendly relationship with the Iroquois or the Mohawk, though, with the arrows and tomahawks... feels more like a mirror to the martyrdom of Antoine Daniel (looks like that's what this article says). I like the design of the window, though, and, as always, you have that knack for getting great photos of stained glass!

    Merry Christmas day!

  6. My post didn't make it. The top three windows seem to be saying Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas Ken and Walt!
