For just over three miles, the Cher river flows through the French commune named Mareuil-sur-Cher (pop. 1,200). Mareuil borders on Saint-Aignan, which was historically in the old Berry province, while Mareuil was on the eastern edge of the Touraine province. The waters of the Cher, a tributary of the much bigger Loire river, are wide and blue at Mareuil. Here's a short slideshow to wrap up my recent series about the Cher in the Saint-Aignan area.
Lovely slideshow and such good photos!
ReplyDeleteCanon Pro90 IS, vintage 2000. Photos Oct 2005.
DeleteWasn’t it the one you gave to your sister or your niece?
DeleteNo, it was one that I finally donated to the Emmaüs charity shop over in Romorantin 5 or 6 years ago. Later I had a pocket-sized Canon camera that I gave to my sister, and then I gave the Panasonic TZ3 to my niece.
DeleteWhen you talk about vintage, that make me think of the photo of the Gallion restaurant in Paris that I took with my old Kodak digital camera and I dubbed digital daguerreotype!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be walking along that river path, amidst all those trees.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, and second what Diogenes said.
ReplyDeleteNice of you to include a picture of Pierre Peugeot, glad to see he was included in the outing. :-)
