P.S. We had two mysterious power outages yesterday. The main breaker tripped for no apparent reason. One more worry... The only thing I can figure is that one of the two satellite decoder boxes that we received on Sunday was at the root of the problem. I've unplugged the one that I first plugged in yesterday morning and plan to send it back to the service provider. It's the only thing that had changed yesterday.

DeleteWe didn't have any power outages yesterday,. I'll never know if the outages we had the day before were caused by some incident outside our house — work on the wires down in village, for example — or by something plugged in here. I took the second satellite decoder to the shipping agent and sent it back yesterday morning. I still suspect it was faulty. I didn't need it anyway, because I have a PC set up on the TV upstairs and it does the same thing as the second satellite box would have done.
