Well the gargoyles in the last photo are about as wonderful as they can be, especially in a group! A holdover from Celtic art? And the rose window so complex in stone.
Interesting that the heads are out of proportion on those crowned figures - I wonder it that was to create some sort of amended (or 'proper') view if looked at from below.
A perhaps even more famous sculpture is the so-called Smiling Angel (l'ange au sourire), not in the Amiens Cathedral, but in amother famous one la cathédrale de Reims.
