Yesterday I posted photos of a few stone houses in the Cantal "province" of France's mountainous central region, called the Auvergne. Today I'm posting Auvergne landscape photos. The Auvergne is cow and dairy country, so you'll notice some cattle in these.
The slideshow runs for two minutes.
I took these photos in early September of 2009 in the area surrounding the beautiful little town of Salers — it's one of the plus beaux villages de France, as is neighboring Tournemire.
This very nice slideshow downloads very fast on my ipad.
ReplyDeleteFor those interested, the waterfall is on the river Auze and is called la cascade de Salins. It is a thirty meters fall (100 feet).
Thanks, CHM. I didn't do anything different with this slideshow. The reason for fast or slow loading probably has something to do either with your internet connection or traffic on the YouTube server when you tried to download the show.
DeleteThanks too for the info about the waterfall.
DeleteBeautiful countryside! Great slideshow.
ReplyDeleteThanks, TH. It is definitely beautiful country side, down there in the Massif Central.
DeleteI watched the show on full screen- wonderful- love the aqueduct and waterfall one.
ReplyDeleteReally stunning photos - those posted both yesterday and today. You have a wonderful eye for framing these picturesque rural scenes. Every one of them could be a travel poster in its own right!
