Chambord en juin 2021

Just a few more photos that I took last Tuesday. This is Chambord as it looked a few days ago.
There's obviously work being done. We didn't have time to go inside. I'm not sure it was open anyway.

  1. That roofscape is amazing, especially the central tower, which is like a crown.

    1. Yes, the inserts are almost something I'd expect to see more on an Italian building. And look at the scale of the people on the balcony in the last photo!

  5. Amazing rooftops! When I was there, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them.

  6. The car is called a Deux Chevaux, also written as 2 CV. It's a Citroën car and production in Frane was stopped in the late 1980s.

  7. You've captured details on the roof that I was unaware! Merci! I would hate to work on that roof, even with that scaffolding! Such details! Fantastic!

  8. The roofline is like icing on a cake. Beautiful.
And that Deux Cheveaux, oh my! Although I suspect that they are likely not all that comfortable to ride in.

    1. They are more comfortable than you might think because they have a very soft suspension (as do all Citroëns).
