Roses du mois de mai

Here's a two-minute slideshow for today, featuring macro images of some
of the roses that bloom in May around our house and in the back yard.

Otherwise, every time you think things couldn't get any worse, they do. Enough said.

  1. Lovely slideshow.

O/T - After being tested positive for Covid-19, I was just moved to a secure wing of this facility.

I am what they call asymptomatic. No fever, no shortness of breath, no cough, no headaches, no loss of smell or taste (the food tastes as bad in my new location than it did in the previous one!). I keep crossed fingers and toes!

Rehab is very slow. Changing wings and floors, changed also my therapist and the new one doesn't seem as good as the previous one. She'll have to know me, I guess. We'll see. I still can't walk. I've been in bed for two months now.

    1. Thanks for the update, CHM. Glad you have at least been asymptomatic. Sorry the therapy is so slow. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Sorry, too, to see that the whole country is on fire, especially the big cities. A few years ago, there were riots and and unrest in France like the current situation in the U.S. I hope things there will settle down soon. And we'll soon be rid of Trump and his ilk.

    3. So glad you have no symptoms, but hate hearing this news. Keep us informed, the rehab should help you soon. I'm so glad you have your Ipad to stay in touch here. Lewis and I are crossing our fingers and toes for you.
The rosies are lovely in contrast to what our country is going through. We are lost at sea and our captain is an evil man.

    4. I didn't want to mention the turmoil in the US today so as not to sound political, but, YES, the situation is alarming and it will be getting much worse before it gets any better. I hope to be alive to see the downfall of all the crooks in the WH and this administration and their punishment. I can see this French Revolution contraption erected and used in Lafayette Square! Second American Revolution coming?

    5. So sory to hear about you testing positive, chm! Like everybody else here, I'm keeping fingers, toes, and everything else crossed! I sincerely hope you'll be out of bed soon!

The news we read here about the rioting in the States is quite alarming and I feel very sad about everything that's happening there. I'm afraid your government isn't really contributing in a positive way.

    6. chm you always make me laugh with your sense of humor! I know you'll get better in therapy and glad you've outfoxed Covid. Remember, "Patience is waiting...to keep going when the going is hard and slow." -Tolstoy.
