I wonder whether this particular stain-glass window is by Max Ingrand or by Jacques Grüber, since both maîtres-verriers worked for this lovely church. This site — in French — has photos of several stain-glass windows, but unfortunately — as usual — there is no credit, and it mentions only Max Ingrand! Who said the internet is completely unreliable?
Stained Glass Art is so underappreciated in my opinion. The work alone ! forget about the artistic part ..and the age ! Have you been to St Chapelle in Paris ? Mind boggling.

I am guessing chm, of those choices, it is by Ingrand. This beautiful window has a decidedly modern feel.
ReplyDeleteThe pieces in the border are more rusticated than those in the center, which makes for a nice effect.
There is a list of some of the works of Max Ingrand on this page.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! I usually don't get excited about any stained glass after medieval, but these two you have shown are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
