Angles-sur-l'Anglin : ruins

This is the village called Angles-sur-l'Anglin, which is less than 10 miles south of La Roche-Posay and less than 10 miles north of Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe. It's only 12 miles from Chauvigny. Its medival château is a ruin that after the French Revolution was used as a stone quarry by the locals. Angles is classified as one of the plus beaux villages de France. We enjoyed sunny skies and warm weather when we spent an afternoon there in April 2006.

  2. We are so fortunate to have been able to see these kinds of pieces of history, in person. This one is really cool to see.
