Paris after dark - 5

This hotel across the river from Notre-Dame gets very mixed reviews. I've never stayed there. The rooms, described by many as tiny with barely acceptable bathrooms, have views of the cathdral. I took this photo on Nov. 1, 2015, when I was in Paris on my way to North Carolina. The weather was beautiful that evening.

  1. I've always wondered about that hotel, figuring that it must not have to really fight for business, so might not keep itself up. I think I've read the same reviews you have.

  2. Is that a bicycle going by the restaurant? Nice shot.

    1. Yes, that is a bicycle. On another subject, I read the other day that the plan to cut down all those trees between Trocadéro and the Eiffel tower has been cancelled by the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. The public outcry won the day. People want Paris to be a greener city.

  3. Good eye, BettyAnn. I've never stayed in a hotel I didn't enjoy in Paris.

  5. Nice photo. I think I may have eaten at that bistro years ago. By the way, the dollar euro exchange is quite favorable now. $1.06 almost parity. Good time to go if the airfares weren't sky high!

    1. I can't remember ever stopping in there, even though I worked in the neighborhood for several years.
