Paris after dark - 1

The last time I spent a whole week in Paris was in April of 2006. It's so near, but so far away.

This is the pont au Change, one of the 37 bridges on the Seine in Paris. It spans the north branch
of the river between the place du Châtelet on the right bank and the île de la Cité.

    1. E., This morning I was looking through some photos that I took in Paris more than 15 years ago. One photo was of the restaurant Chez Georges near the place des Victoires and close to where I lived 40 years ago. I looked up Chez Georges's web site, and on one ofthe first pages I called up there you were. I can't remember if I've ever had a meal there. Have you?

    2. I don't think I've ever eaten at Chez Georges. I did like it on FB, perhaps hoping to go there last summer.

    3. That "like" on FB is what I saw. I've always wanted to have dinner chez Georges but I don't believe I ever did. In googling the restaurant, I found out that it was Julia Child's favorite Paris restaurant.

  2. Ken, are you saying that you saw Evelyn in an online photo from the restaurant itself? I want to see!
I just looked up the restaurant, and I see an address on Rue du Mail in the 2nd, but also one on Blvd Pereire in the 17th. Is the one near place des Victoires the one in the 2nd? I read somewhere that this was Julia Child's favorite Paris restaurant... again, I'm wondering which one? The photos I saw of the food look AMAZING.

  4. I don't think that link works right. I see one thing on my PC but something different on my tablet.
