There's no proof that the remains of Leonardo da Vinci are buried in the little chapel dedicated to Saint-Hubert on the grounds of the
château d'Amboise, but a lot of people believe they are. Results of a DNA test are not available.

This is a view from the Clos-Lucé, where Leonardo lived for a few years and where he died. You can see the
chapelle Saint-Hubert in the distance.

There are quite a few half-timbered houses in Amboise, including this one that is now occupied by a restaurant. Walt and I had lunch there one day in the year 2001. Maybe it's time to go back.
"Maybe it's time to go back"..... may not even be there any more... have you checked Streetview!?
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those brick/tile infills and timber work.... just look lovely!
It's still there, according to what I see on the internet.
DeleteGo back and tell us about it...
ReplyDeleteYes, why not!? :)
ReplyDeleteIt’s definitely time to go back.

Maybe in late October or in November, when Walt comes back from Las Vegas.
