You can see we're on high ground. It's a steep half-mile walk down to the river, and a steep walk back up to the top of the ridge that our house is built on. It can be muddy when the weather is rainy.
Our place is on the north end of the Renaudière vineyard, and the south end is slightly more than a mile away. I used to take much longer walks around the area than I do these days, but I still walk with the dog every day.

ReplyDeleteI remember a walk we took together down in our deep woods by the creek. Dogs make the walk more fun because they take pleasure in all the smells that we aren't aware of.
