Troglodytes (1)

The Cher river valley is known for its maisons troglodytiques — houses built into hillsides or cliff faces.

  1. I've seen an ad for a gîte troglodyte, where they say, un gîte troglodyte, pour un weekend insolite!

    1. Troglodyte can be used as a noun or as an adjective.

  2. We stayed near some troglodyte homes in the Dordogne in 2001. I love seeing them, but wonder if they are comfortable to live in year round.

  3. Lovely photo. The taming of the shrew, the shrew being my new tablet and blogger! Hope I’ll be able to post my comment!

It is too complicated! I might find a solution if only I understood what they’re talking about! CHM

  4. I seem to be turning in circles now! I might simply decide to post as anonymous from now on on this tablet! We’ll see!

    1. Hi chm, you can click on enter comment, then that pulls up "comment as." Up pops "anonymous" and to the right of that is a light shadowy down arrow that lets you select "name/url." You can just type in your name. Took me months to figure this out.

    2. Oh that was me above. And thanks Judy above for the word "insolite" - I'd never heard that one.

    3. Thank you D. I’ve tried that and it doesn’t work for me. I type this comment on my older tablet. I’ll try it again, who knows?

    4. I looked at my blog settings for comments this morniing, and everything seems to be configured properly. I haven't changed the settings recently. I know that BettyAnn had a lot of trouble commenting from her iPad, Maybe she can give some advice?

    5. The problem seems to be on my new ipad side, since I can comment with my initials with this old one. The problem is I don’t know how to fix the new ipad. It looks like there is some incompatibility between the two tablets! I’ll keep trying, I might stumble on the solution?

    6. What version/release of iOS does the new tablet have on it?
