Things I miss

I don't miss fishing, because I haven't done that in years. I do miss eating fresh N.C. fish
and other seafood. I also miss shorebirds, waves, and sea foam.

I miss family and friends. These are two of my grand-nieces: Carleigh, on the left, and
her younger sister Ruby, on the right. I missed seeing Carleigh grow up — she started driving earlier this year!

  1. It is hard being away from loved ones, and missing out on being actually around them growing up.

  2. I think I remember your mentioning Carleigh being four. Now she is driving!

  3. I imagine it was even more difficult to be away from family during COVID when you absolutely couldn't just hop on a plane to visit. Do you and your grand-nieces stay in touch on the internet? Have you made any explorations for travel to N.C.? Our coast had some very high temperatures during the past two weeks - 90 - 100 which broke all the records! What are the fish you are eager to enjoy when you do return? I am eager for come fresh clam chowder at one of my family's and many friends favorite place on the coast! Also - fresh crab during the season to bring home!
