Dans les rues de Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue

Having a wander through the streets around the harbor at Saint-Vaast.

Above, La Boutique Irlandaise ("the Irish shop"); a bar/tabac called Le Mouillage ("the anchorage"); and Le Chasse Marée ("the tide chaser")

On the right, a bar/restaurant/pizzeria/crêperie called Le Vauban, the 17th/18th century French military architect, engineer, urban planner, and writer who had fortifications built around the harbor at Saint-Vaast

The streets farther from the harbor are not so crowded. Oysters are a major theme all over the town.

  1. Pizza and crepes are a good eats when you've had enough oysters.
