On the left is the church in Saint-Aignan and on the right is the château complex
In traveling down the Cher river valley from Vierzon to Mennetou-sur-Cher and on to Thésée-la-Romaine, I forgot one important stop along the way. That would be Saint-Aignan, sometimes and unofficially called Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher. Here are some long-zoom, panoramic views of the Château de Saint-Aignan that I took from a spot about two miles across the river in the town of Noyers-sur-Cher.
A closer view of the château with the ruins its medieval fortifications on the right and the Renaisssance-era château on the left
The first photo is picture-perfect!
