Montpoupon : hunters and horses

The château de Montpoupon, like others — Chambord, Cheverny — is known for hunting.
There's a hunting museum on the grounds. Photos...

I guess I could have added "hounds" to my title.
Painting by Georges Busson (1859-1933).

And "hokey" to describe the displays pictured above and below...

I don't know if this horse is stuffed or sculpted.

Look closely and you'll see why I could also have added "Hermès"....

  1. The painting and the Hermès scarf are beautiful. The fake animals and people, not so much.

  3. Ken, what is the reason why there are so many Hermès scarves at this château? Do you know?

    1. I don't know. I wonder if Hermès is a big sponsor of or donor to Montpoupon.6

    2. If you want to know, just google Arnaud de Louvencourt and learn who he is and what he does.

    3. Sorry, it is not Arnaud, but Amaury de Louvencourt!

  4. Hermes is amazing. I love the quality of their designs.

As for the first hunting picture, I wouldn't want to be the stag in that.
