I agree, Evelyn, quite different from the junk we see here. Every twenty years most commercial buildings are almost in ruins and are torn down. I'm exagerating, but you get my drift!
I'm partial to the middle photo with the nice Belle Epoque facade!
I think the first photo shows an example of Directoire architecture in the end of the 18th century.
What's on your mind? Qu'avez-vous à me dire ?
