A recent lunch of gratin de chou-fleur et « grosses saucisses » — that's how the butcher shop labels these pork sausages.

P.S. — I'm on my way to CDG airport by train today.

  4. Thanks to all of you. I had an easy trip from Saint-Aignan to CDG airport today. I was on our local train for the first leg and the on the high-speed TGV from Tours to Roissy, north of Paris. Neither train was crowded at all.

Tomorrow I fly. Last October, for the same itinerary as tomorrow's I bought an Air France ticket, but then was told at check-in that I was in the wrong place. I needed to go check in at the Delta desk, which as an AF partner was operating the flight. This time, I just went ahead and bought a ticket from Delta. Surprise! Today I was informed that my flight will be operated by none other than Air France! Very disconcerting, but of course I like Air France better. Better food, and a better selection of recent French films to watch.

    1. Once again, a disappearing act! My previous comment posted on my old tablet did stick this morning. Now, this afternoon, the disappearing problem came back with a vengeance on the same old tablet. I thought I knew why, but now I'm back to square one.

Never a dull moment, with airlines and with tablets!

    2. Your first "never a dull moment" comment ended up in my spam folder. I just marked it as "not spam" so it appears just below. Strange. I don't know why. Why does one of your tablets produce spam, while the other one produces comments that get published?

  6. Ahhh, the old airline swap trick! I too prefer AF. Wishing you smooth sailing and a good resolution with your family.
