Introducing...

...Natasha. She's the new puppy. Yesterday, we made arrangements to go get her and bring her home two weeks from today, on April 25.

The woman we're getting her from — she lives over near Chinon, Ussé, and Azay-le-Rideau — sent us this picture yesterday. Natasha is a tricolor Shetland sheepdog ("sheltie") and she has grown a lot since we saw her the one and only time on March 13. Natasha was born on February 23.

  1. She is so darling. Puppies all have that special appeal, don't they....My grandsons have a new puppy, their first dog, Pepper. She came to their home about two weeks ago. I think I could fill up my blog with cute puppy picture, but my favorite might be https://thickethouse.wordpress.com/2017/04/03/all-worn-out-for-now/.

I think Natasha will add a lot of happiness to all of you, even - or especially -Callie.

  4. She's a beauty. I do hope that she and Callie get along together, and the little one isn't too boisterous for her!
Speaking from personal experience, when one dog was seven, we had a new pup, who wore us all out. The older dog pulled a tendon in his leg trying to keep up.

    1. It will be interesting. Natasha will be our third puppy, so we've been through the process a couple of times already.

  7. Love the name Natasha! She will have a lot of good playing outside since you are getting her in the Spring- puppies need exercise and hopefully she'll sleep a lot, too and through the night- time will tell.
