Dimanche “off”

Just got home. Went to lunch with friends near Valençay and ended up spending the night over there. Whew! It was fun. Sausage and eggs for breakfast and then the drive home.

What day is it?

  1. I thought you had some connection problems, but when I called and heard the answering machine I got really worried. All is well that ends well. Ouf!

    1. I really wasn't well yesterday. It was pure over-indulgence that caused my malaise. I suffered from a maladie I hadn't experienced in many many years, and I know what it's called — une crise de foie. I don't know if people in France still use that term.

    2. And I thought that crise de foie was a French trade mark. Are you sure of your actual nationality? Voilà ce que c'est de faire bombance! Crise de foie™ happens when you have too much of everything. LOL

      Hope you'll recover soon.

    3. OTOH, a crise de foi is when you decide that the Bible is just another old history book, without any divine intervention whatsoever.

  4. Sounds like a great time was had by all! Much better to drive home in the daylight, after a good night's sleep, a nice breakfast, and a clearer head, I imagine :)

    1. Since we had Callie with us over in Varennes-sur-Fouzon, and our friends had a fold-out sofa bed in their living room, it made sense to spend the night, considering the amount of dry, minerally Sauvignon Blanc wine from the village of Meusnes that was consumed over the course of the day. Rainy weather didn't dampen our spirits (as it were).
