The homecoming

It always feels good to arrive back in the hamlet after a long walk in the vineyard.

  1. Can Natasha do the same walk as Callie? Or does she have a mini walk?

    1. Natasha is still too little to do a real walk, so we just walk her around the yard and give her time to do her business (5 or 6 times a day). She'll start walking with us in late June or July, I imagine.

  2. It's a lovely view. Do you take it all for granted now?
My brother asked me this when he was over a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't quite sure. Not yet, I said. A brief trip back to the UK was enough to remind me how lovely our surroundings are and to appreciate them!

    1. No, we don't take it for granted. We love this spot, and find the house comfortable. Glad you are back in France.

  3. I imagine that if this were my homecoming .. with the pups, home, village, love ... I would pinch myself each morning to be sure I was not dreaming :)

  4. Home is where the heart is, and your hearts are in the hamlet...

  5. I miss walking our dogs in the woods, each day was different and coming home was good. I love the windy road in this photo.
