When Callie gets out near the end of the gravel road that runs through the vineyard, she reaches some kind of canine territorial limit, I think. She doesn't want to go any farther. Maybe it's because there might be cars on the paved road beyond.
When you get to the end of the road, however, if you squat down and call her, she comes running. She seems to know, or has learned, that you aren't going any farther. She gives you a kiss on the cheek or nose before turning tail and heading back toward home, running at full speed.
Love that Callie :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe she's been with us for 8 years.
DeleteGreat dog..
ReplyDeleteYou are right about that.
DeleteNice way you've gone the Callie photos today. Old camera?
ReplyDeleteI think it was the new camera (no. 2), meaning the one I just sent back. The picture quality was good, but the touch screen was worse than unusable, it was an annoyance. Today I received camera no. 3. I'm trying out and hoping for the best. Tried to say yesterday that we have nice red tulips right now, but my comment on that post just disappeared.
DeleteThree's a charm. Tulips make me happy.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good with the latest camera. And with the tilling. Spring has sprung.
DeleteI remember well the pair of paws on my shoulders when I called her name during our first encounter … plus a wet nose :-)
ReplyDeleteShe is a very good girl
I'm glad it's a good memory. I bet Callie remembers too.
DeleteCallie enjoys her routine.
ReplyDeleteShe does.
DeleteShe's a lovely, loving dog, and beautiful too.
