Le confort des pieds

Homebody that I've become, it was about time for me to buy myself a new pair of shoes. They're "slip-ons."

They are not as easy to slip on as I thought they'd be, but never mind. The fact is they are supremely comfortable. I'm going to wear them indoors for now. They are much softer and warmer than the Birkenstock-style sandals I've been wearing as indoor shoes for years... until yesterday.

  1. Those shoes look great! I'm careful about my shoes these days- don't need to fall, also can't go barefoot much.

    1. My sandals are slightly too long for my feet, which has meant that I've tripped many times when the toe of a shoe catches on a stair step or the edge of a rug. I'm glad to be retiring or recycling them. I don't often go barefoot because our tile floors are cold.

    1. I wish I had bought the slip-ons 6 or 8 months ago, for the winter.

    1. Me too. And because we live out in the country and in a damp climate, I have indoor shoes and outdoor shoes so that i don't track too much mud and sand into the house.

    1. You've mentioned Vans before. I see Vans slip-ons on Amazon France now. Also Vans socks, which I'll have to try.
