... it snowed at la Renaudière, the hamlet outside Saint-Aignan in central France where we live.
It's below freezing this morning according to Accuweather — our outdoor thermometer reads +2C right now but it's in a protected location. Accuweather goes on to predict rain tonight and tomorrow, so I guess our cold spell is ending.I'll be in the Peugeot heading down the hill to the the butcher's shop in Saint-Aignan in a few minutes. I'm picking up the lamb roast we ordered for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to you both! My plans are falling apart here in western NC....weather getting colder so yay but supposed to have 2 other couples tomorrow & been cooking for days already, table set, etc....going to pick up delicious apple pie today (I usually do my own pies but this one is spectacular) anyway, neighbor couple dropped out yesterday due to sickness and this am my husband has a sore throat so we'll have to tell other guests coming from Asheville who we see once a year! and then we'll have a ton of food....but lots of prosecco too!
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing everybody better health.
DeleteThat's a pretty photo Ken!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like what's going on in our household, Melinda. Both down with colds that started as sore throats. Will probably cancel on our hosts, as I can't be coughing my way through an invite.
Walt and I both had miserable colds last winter that stayed with us for a good two months. We never had any fever. Our friend who lives in Auburn CA is just getting over Covid. She had to cancel her trip to Sicily.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving in advance. I’m looking forward to some blog pictures of the fixings!
