Here in Saint-Aignan, the sun doesn't rise until about 8:15 at this time of the year. Still, I go for a walk every other morning, and I take my phone with me. That's in case I fall down and can't get up. I could always call Walt on his phone and he would come find and rescue me. But the phone has a built-in camera, so I'm always tempted to take a few pictures. They come in pretty dark, and I have to tweak them to make them presentable. That's what I've done to these. I took them yesterday morning.
Ken, I use ManualCamera on my 'phone... gives full control...
ReplyDeleteFor Android, it is:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lensesdev.manual.camera.professional&hl=en&pli=1
And for iOS (which I use on iPhone and iPad) it is:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/yamera-manual-camera/id951399974
Both offer full control, and I really like my iOS one.
I have, somewhere, one of the magnetic "SLR Handgrips".... it is very nice and puts the shutter button where you would expect it [the shutter button is also detachable for selfies/group photos]... sadly, I have to remove the 'phone from my current case to use it**... so it tends to get buried under things in the office at present.
But the results are far better than the 'phone camera alone!!
**My case has a cover.
It is such a pretty time of the year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! The photos don't look at all like they were darker at one point.
ReplyDeleteI think it's always smart to carry your phone, for safety.
If I forget my cell phone, I go back and get it now- it makes me feel safer if something happens. It's getting light later here also but nothing like the big changes that happen to you in France. I like the cooler temps, we've had a warm dry fall so far.
ReplyDeleteNature gives us beauty all year round, captured for posterity on a ‘phone camera. Couldn’t do that in the 60’s so easily, and communication too! Lots to be grateful for. Pats🚜
ReplyDeleteLove those beautiful colors - wish we had that in CA.
ReplyDeleteThe colours around your way are spectacular.... we've got a rich red Liquidamber tree, where we put the pets ashes [and hopefully ours at the end].... and five Norway maples that put on a wonderful golden show when they are in sync... but our dogwoods don't seem to want to show any red.... it's just yellow and green.... around here!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, did you know that since you started this blog 20 years ago.... you have written and posted 7,057 times!!
That must be why your wrist is aching!!
