My iris need thinning, but I see one bud sticking up. It will be yellow. It's late for here. I've planted zinnia and sunflower seeds in a new bed. I hope that I can keep them wet enough to sprout.
Glorious. One of my favorite flowers. Growing up in Texas people called them "flag iris" but only later in life did I discover the real name is "bearded iris". They grow well in the south.
