Status report: not much change

The arthritis pain has moved from the left hand and arm to the right hand and arm. Otherwise, there's not much change in my my condition. I can type for a couple of minutes but then I have to stop because of the pain. I got the report from the radiology lab yesterday afternoon. Now I need to make an appointment with my GP doctor. We'll see what he prescribes and go from there...

    1. I called my doctor's office five or six times between 9 yesterday morning until just after noon. Then I gave up for the day. Nobody answered the phone and there is no voice mail on the line. I'll try again this morning.

  5. I very much hope you can see your doctor soon, Ken, and at least get some relief from these debilitating symptoms. If they don't subside, you may need to push for a specialist. As others have suggested, it is worth considering whether this migrating pain may be the result of a virus transmitted by a tick or mosquito. Chikungunya is now being spread in many areas of France by mosquito. https://www.pasteur.fr/fr/centre-medical/fiches-maladies/chikungunya

  6. Thanks for that, Kiwi. My right wrist has a big bosse on it. In otherwords, it's pretty swollen. I got the doctor's office on the phone this morning. They told me to call back tomorrow morning to see about an emergency appointment.

    1. Good… that is progress, at least. That swollen wrist sounds miserable to have to deal with.

    2. Yesterday after lunch I noticed that the swollen side of my right arm had gone way down. And the pain had mostly gone away. I don't know why, except that I had rubbed on it some "pain relief cream" (Healsure brand) that I bought on Amazon. I had a nice afternoon and evening without the pain and swelling. But this morning it has come back, at least partially. I just rubbed some more of that cream on my right wrist it and I'll see what the result is.

  8. Hi Ken - I hope you are feeling better. Please keep us posted on what you find out. I'm wondering if you've tried Arnica? It's homeopathic and is anti-inflammatory. It is pretty widely used in France, and may give you some relief.

    1. Arnica montana is the cream I'm using on my swollen wrists. It seems to be very effective. It takes down the swelling pretty quickly. I've noticed no side effects.

    2. Glad to hear it's working for you!
