Angles-sur-l'Anglin views (1)

Just views in and around the French village called Angles. It is so called because it was settled by some Anglo-Saxons from Germany many centuries ago. The medieval château there was abandoned in the 18th century and left to fall into ruin. The village still has its medieval character (narrow, winding streets), says the Michelin Guide.

  1. I wonder if the French sometimes yearn for sleek, ultra modern destinations with modern architecture and "clean lines" (as its always described), because they get to see all of this historic architecture and historic living, as a matter of daily life.

    1. That's an interesting thought, Judith. We travel to see their everyday sights.
