The temperature here in Saint-Aignan this morning, on our front terrace, is in 11.2ºC (52ºF). Yesterday I talked to a friend in California, near Sacramento, who told me their high temperature on Saturday was supposed to be 109ºF. That's crazy. She said it was supposed to "cool down" to just 100ºF over the course of the week to come.
Here are a few more pictures of mine from past visits to Angles-sur-l'Anglin, about 2 hours southwest of Saint-Aignan. The first and last photos are ones I took in November 2004. The four smaller photos are some that I took in April 2006. I think those are the only two times I've been to Angles. I guess I need to go back.

ReplyDelete52°F? Wow. They were reporting on the news, yesterday, about those ridiculous temps in Sacramento... isn't it usually kind of mildly hot, only, in Sacramento!? That is horrendous! And, Washington DC is in the mid to upper 90s even in the evening, this past week (at least that's a southern spot... but Sacramento??).
Crazy.
Sacramento is ‘in the valley’ so it gets hotter than Hades there, regularly. I had a job transfer there for almost three years and I couldn’t wait to get back to Naples, Florida where the summer highs were about 85.

Palm Springs was 124 degrees on Friday. That was a new record for them I believe.
