Sunrise seen from the Renaudière vineyard...

...at 7:00 a.m. yesterday (June 3, 2025).

I was walking out to see the new vines that have been planted on a three-acre parcel of land about 500 meters from our house. Above right is a close-up shot of one of the new vines planted a few days ago.

  1. Beautiful photo...all I could think of was...Morning has broken like the first morning.....Blackbird has spoken like the first bird.

  2. Really a stunning sunrise photo, Ken. How fortunate you are to be surrounded by so much natural beauty. Diogenes' comment is very touching. So many fine songs from the soundtrack of our lives can spring to memory at the appropriate moments!

  3. Yes morning has broken...the earth has been broken as well. It looks like you need some rain.

  4. Beautiful sunrise and photo. We are having a lot of ‘smoke from a distant fire’. The wildfires in western Canada are really bad now.

    1. Have there always been forest fires like these in Canada? I never heard about them if there were.

    2. Yes, forest fires in Canada are as common as in the US but almost nothing about Canada is ever reported on US news. Until recently, that is. 😊🇨🇦

P.S. I think most Canadian forest fires are started by lightning.

  8. I don't know what's going on with Blogger or Google who whoever is pulling the strings. I haven't made any changes on my end. These problems come and go. They are very frustrating. Glad to read you.
