These are photos I took within two or three miles of our house. I took them on June 11, 2005 — 20 years ago today. We're having the same kind of weather today. The area around Saint-Aignan is basically agricultural (grape-growing is agriculture too).
Poppies growing wild are so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly can see where the painters have gotten their inspiration:)
ReplyDeleteIt all looks like art work. Beautiful.

Oh, my, so beautiful! -- Chrissoup
ReplyDeletePoppies....nothing more beautiful than a field of color.
ReplyDeleteTraveling long distances by car has always provided me with comparisons of the many choices farmers have to combine hay into stacks! They always make me smile! Never having grown up in the country - thinking about playing in hay has always seemed like a fun thing (when I was a child - of course!) Red poppies are my one of my favorites. So bright and in middle to late summer they especially stand out compared to other flowers that are frequently in pastels.
