Leaving Domfront, headed west
Le Mont-Saint-Michel is just 40 miles almost due west of Domfront. That's where we were headed when we left Domfront back in June 2006. Our friend Sue from California was visiting, and she hadn't been there before. She had arrived in April that year for a three-month visit.

Just saw your reply to someone in yesterday's comments... $750/year for insurance for two cars is very good. When we lived in the city of St. Louis, we used to pay about $1500/year for EACH car, and they were used cars. When we moved into a nice, nearby suburb, our insurance went down to $1,000 for BOTH cars... I remember saying to the insurance agent, "Thanks for that quote, but I was looking for a quote for both cars." He said, "That is for both cars." Ha!
ReplyDeleteI imagine our car insurance would cost a lot more if we lived in Paris, or even in Tours or Orléans. Out here in the country, the cost of living is more reasonable.
