Bertie the black cat, who came to live here with us in April 2010, went out as usual yesterday morning. He didn't come back — not even for his five o'clock feeding. He's nearly 17 years old, and has been slowing down for the past couple of years. He eats and eats but can't seem to gain weight. The sun is just coming up. I need to go walk around the hamlet and see if I can find him.
I hope Bert'll soon be back home! Keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteWalt and I have talked to several neighbors this morning and nobody seems to have seen Bertie yesterday or this morning. Something happened between noon and five o'clock yesterday because he didn't show up for his afternoon feeding. I think he's gone, but who knows where or how.
ReplyDeleteCats fill us with love, and break our hearts
ReplyDeleteoh no poor Mr B.....maybe he's just closed in somewhere by accident since maybe there are more people around than usual due to holiday? I guess he never really goes too far or do you really know
ReplyDeleteHoping you find Bertie asap. Happy Easter Day!
ReplyDeleteOh, gracious, I hope Bertie is okay.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I hope Bertie returns.

I hope Bertie comes home. I know how hard it is when they leave.
ReplyDeleteNo good news so far. I think Bert is gone.
DeleteWishing you a happy Easter! Hopefully your guy will return.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe he disappeared :-( - he has his friend, Tasha, there and both you guys! He must be on an adventure or else somebody felt sorry for him and took him in for the night... (hoping).
ReplyDeleteHope Mr. Bertie is O.K. Maybe chasing Easter bunnies.
