Merci, CHM. I've spent the morning trying to get an appointment with a dentist. My dentist in Montrichard has apparently retired. I found a dentist in St-Georges-sur-Cher who can see me on November 26. The trouble is, I have broken a filling and I'm worried I'll be in pain long before that date rolls around. I have also contacted dentists in Luçay-le-Mâle and Romorantin, and I'm waiting for them to call me back after listening to my messages. Nobody answers the phone any more. A well-known St-Aignan dentist died suddenly the other day, so contacting him was, as it were, a dead end.
Wow - the chateaux is really quite massive when you see the boats next to it. Also, I would love to see a photo of the end of the chateau where construction stopped. Don't think I've ever seen one.
Dentists have figured it out here, as they're too well paid. The show must go on, and I went last week. Walk in, temperature taken, plastic curtains over every door, HEPA filters filtering air, windows open if possible. Dentist in mask, clear shield, gloves and operating coat.
I got an appointment with a dentist... for November 26! The woman on the phone said to me: Je vous fais une fleur... autrement, nos prochains rendez-vous sont en janvier. We live in what is called un désert médical.
Very nice series on Chenonceau. And great photos, too.

DeleteSo sorry to hear that. Hope you can see a dentist asap. If it can do any good, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you,
Deletelove these photos
ReplyDeletesorry about dental problems....teeth are expensive here
Not expensive here but very hard to get an appointment. How does the dentist do work in your mouth when you're wearing a mask?

DeleteIs there some kind of boat rental operation right there? Those rowboats all have the same paint jobs.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the filling. Ouch.
Yes, there is a company that rents rowboats.
