Around the château royal at Amboise

There's no proof that the remains of Leonardo da Vinci are buried in the little chapel dedicated to Saint-Hubert on the grounds of the château d'Amboise, but a lot of people believe they are. Results of a DNA test are not available.

This is a view from the Clos-Lucé, where Leonardo lived for a few years and where he died. You can see the chapelle Saint-Hubert in the distance.

There are quite a few half-timbered houses in Amboise, including this one that is now occupied by a restaurant. Walt and I had lunch there one day in the year 2001. Maybe it's time to go back.

    1. Maybe in late October or in November, when Walt comes back from Las Vegas.
