The town of Chenonceaux and the Château de Chenonceau are just a 30-minute drive north from Loches. On this September day when I was there with visiting Americans, we were treated to a little boat show on the Cher river not to mention clear skies.
It's just amazing to me that they could have had the tools and knowledge to build this structure across the river... ditto any of the bridges of the era.
Am I correct that Norma and I were those American visitors back in September 2011? It was a great day and we were so pleased to spend the day with you.
In 2003 , I went to see Chenonceau with my daughters French class. We were on one of those busses with the crowds :) :) . The visit was still spectacular! We loved it! Linda from Alabama

ReplyDeleteIt would have been fun to be in one of those boats!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely one of the prettiest chateaux. The setting is magical.
