Domestic (animal) bliss in three photos. Kisses, even.
Natasha (the dog) still drives Bertie (the cat) crazy with her attempts at rough-housing, but there are peaceful moments too.
P.S. Weather note: With the thermostat set at 18.5ºC (65ºF), our boiler fired itself up this morning and the radiators are warm. That's how chilly the weather is outside.
Pssst...the heading...change it quick before anyone notices...
ReplyDeleteA slip of the pen that shows how much you miss her perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWow. Neither Walt nor I noticed. I called Callie "Collette" for years.
DeleteSame here, we regularly called all our dogs by the name of their predecessor, even after several years.
DeleteAwwwww :)
ReplyDeletei am sooo happy to see Mr B able to be inside and cozying up to the dog of the house!!!! He'll be in heaven this winter when he can be in.....
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice for Bertie, and we'll feel better about him and his well-being, especially on the few days when it gets really cold. He could always sleep in the utility room before, and it doesn't really get cold in there.
DeleteGood to hear you are not miserly and allow the boiler to kick in. I'm sure the boiler was not on for very long.
ReplyDeleteOh I felt that twinge in the heart , someone missing.. sometimes I call one of the cats by my long time ago best cats name ..
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother used to make up these reasons why we do things ... she would probably say that Callie is still there with you ..
sympa!
ReplyDeleteMy Mother would often call my brother by the dog's name. Don't know who was irritated more, the boy or the dog. Sweet photos.
ReplyDeleteROTFL .... that is just so funny to me !
DeleteThey look good together.
ReplyDeletePeacefully contented together ... if only for a while. Tasha is coming on wonderfully. She looks so lovely and so very Sheltie. We come back at the beginning of September so do hope it warms up again soon.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see those two like each other. Now that Bertie will not be so lonely. At least once in a while he can rough house with Tasha.
ReplyDeleteThe cats were huddled next to me under the covers this morning ... that's how low the air conditioning was set.
ReplyDeletelol
Great pic!
