Une rose
Le noir, c'est la couleur du chat, Bertie. In this hot, sunny weather we've been having, he's spending a majority of the daylight hours inside, where it's dim and cool. I think he's probably out during the night, but I don't know, because I'm, well, out (like a light).
Bertie the Black Cat
CHM arrived yesterday from Paris, as planned. I picked him up at the train station in Blois and we had lunch in a restaurant. Well, not exactly in the restaurant — we sat outside to enjoy the hot weather. I didn't take any pictures — too busy talking — so you're getting le rouge et le noir.
Beautiful Rose and great shot of Bertie. Having had black cats, I know how difficult it is to get a good photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful header. That's one I'd keep handy to look at during the winter, because it captures the light of an early summer morning. What a great time of the year this is.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I have the
ReplyDeletefeeling that CHM's trip to
France this summer is more
permanent than in the past.
Might have been something he
said in a comment.
What Carolyn said and welcome to CHM. I guess he's brought the warm weather with him ;-)
ReplyDeleteUn grand bonjour à chm :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the visit! Is there a trip planned during his visit again this year?
Sheila, not yet, but I’m working on it.
ReplyDeleteEvelyn, thank you. Merci. I’m not sure about what I brought weather-wise. Today is overcast, spitting and cool for me, used as I am of SoCal’s desert heat.
Judith, un grand bonjour à vous. No trip this year, just enjoying the quiet and the food at la Renaudière, and meeting with bloggers and commenters.
Bertie looks like he's on guard.
