Sorry to have been so quiet for so long. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my blog. I need to practice posting pictures again. Blogger is a fairly complex application, and I am sorely out of practice. Before all that has happened actually happened, I stayed in practice by posting every day. Maybe I'll get back on that track soon... but maybe not.
Have I written about the lightning bolt that struck our house? At least, that's what I think happened. It was the morning of Sept. 28, the day I was scheduled to have my afternoon laser treatment in Blois. Lightning bolts were flying in all directions about us that morning.
We were hoping the lightning would stop brightening the sky before we had to leave for the ophthalmology clinic in Blois. And they did. But by then the damage was done.
The lightning bolt than did the damage knocked out several computers and TV screens. We didn't have time to investigate because we had the appointment in Blois. Since then I've been trying to figure out what lightning did to those devices and trying to repair them. But mostly I've just been coping. More later...
It is good to hear from you. Will your insurance help with the lightening damage.
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the lightning! What do do about your blog? We're all connected so I think everyone enjoys whatever musings or ramblings you want to post.
ReplyDeleteOh my GOODNESS... of all of the days for that to happen. I'm glad it didn't start a fire, at least.
ReplyDeleteOne thing at a time, Ken.
Lightning - Ugh. I hope insurance might help. Wow. I use a surge suppressor for my TV and my computer. Does your area get frequent lightning storms?
ReplyDeleteThat was one strange day! I hope you are able to get everything fixed. We will be here . Thanks for keeping in touch with us.

My goodness, it never rains but it pours, or, in your case, lightning strikes. What a lot’s been going on for you.Like your other followers, I would miss you if you decide to call it a day. Hope you can get everything sorted, and that your sight is back to normal, or even better.
ReplyDeleteHi Ken,
ReplyDeleteI haven't blogged in ages and I don't know if I could go back to it. And, since I don't to on to the computer as much as I used to now that I can do almost everything from my phone, I haven't followed you and Walt as much, either, for which I am sorry. I am glad the eye procedure seems successful and that you won't get lost the next time you go to Blois. Paul and I don't have a car anymore (short story -- it burned up in January; long story too long for here) so I miss our little excursions to the Touraine.
