Here's what we have to look forward to, weatherwise, stating tomorrow. This is a 10 day forecast that I grabbed off the Accuweather web site. I modified the settings so that the text would display in English and the temperatures in Fahrenheit. Rignt now I'm airing out the house and letting cool morning air in before it gets hot outwide (high today 88ºF). We'll close the windows and shutters later this morning to keep the sun and heat out. We'll be spending a lot of time indoors over the week to come.
These are currently short, though.... fortunately..... you and we were here for the long Canicule of 2003... when the Nouvelle Republic weather page ran out of flowery ways of sayin it is hot and just wrote "La canicule se poursuit" for three consecutive days!
ReplyDeleteAs that was in July/August, I am not looking forward to the forthcoming weeks.... in 2003 we had 44° Centipede in the shade under the big lime tree... and 33° Centipede in the longère... it was such a contrast that it felt like walking into a fridge!!
could y'all put a splitter or 2 somewhere?
ReplyDeleteOh, man. Best of luck to you.
ReplyDeleteWow that 101 degree forecast is eye catching. Hope it doesn't materialize.
ReplyDeleteYour highs beat my forecasted highs. Stay cool, keep the house cool, keep Tasha cool. Hope to hear from you at the other end!
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky to have left Thursday morning. Here it's rain and more rain. My zinnias and sunflowers grew a foot in the ten days that I was gone. Marie has a portable AC unit that she uses sometimes.
