More views of Rocamadour

  1. Rocamadour is quite splendid. We were told that it is too crowded with visitors in the summer, so we went in the fall, but got drenched when the clouds opened up on us while we were at the highest level. It was still a fairytale visit.

    1. I agree. We were there in late April in 2006 and it was pretty crowded. They say the thing to do is go there in the afternoon, spend the night, and then see the place the next morning, before the tourists and tour buses arrive.

    And I like to travel in the fall, but who knows what the weather will be like with all the changes on our planet? At first glance, I thought you must have had a drone for those photos! But, it is a perched village, so you were above and shooting below, I figured? Loved seeing that swimming pool! Thanks for your photographic skills - very enjoyable to see Rocamadour from your viewpoint!

  5. One of my favourite nearby towns. Monpazier is another. We are so lucky to live amongst such wonderful ancient towns.
