I used it in the latter part of the 1980s for my Masters thesis and it was fantastic. It even had le Bescherelle incorporated and the automatic spell checker would ask if I really wanted an infinitive or should it be a participe passé. I could generate my bibliography, have footnotes at the bottom of a page, at the end of a chapter, or at the end of the thesis -- all sorts of things that, if I remember correctly, WordPerfect didn't do.<br />Also, back in those days, the department rules for the thesis were based on typewriter rules: double spacing and 55 characters, maximum, per line, x number of lines per page... The Apple/Claris word processing app was MacWrite. At SPC, the word processing app was ProWrite. I still use the last version ever released. It dates back to 1995 and still works fine on Windows 10. I mostly use it for word processing -- which these days means saving recipes that I find on the internet.<br /><br />I do have good backups of most everything, but I neglected to copy these photos to a second location since March 21. Shame on me, I guess.
