It's a fairly typical 1960s/1970s era French house called a <i>pavillon sur sous-sol</i> (even though the <i>sous-sol</i> or "basement" is actually above ground) with a terrace on the main living level. One thing we liked about it when we first saw it was all the big windows in the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms.
