My cat brought a frog in the other night and tried to get a lizard in but I blocked his entry. If Callie ever gets skunked, white vinegar sprayed on and then rinsed/hosed off will cut the smell (also cheaper and less messy than tomato juice). Maybe it will work on the smelly stuff, too.

Am very impressed with the quality of the pictures you're getting with the new camera. I've added it to my check-it-out list.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-69836040318607120642007-08-26T17:24:00.000+02:002007-08-26T17:24:00.000+02:00Toads are your garden's friend - they'll eat the s...Toads are your garden's friend - they'll eat the slugs for you (that's probably why there are so many, the wet weather's been encouraging the slugs). Don't let Callie frighten them off: try and make some hiding places for them.

See:

http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/wildlifegarden/atoz/c/commontoad.aspAutolycushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17642868944400656922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-31122097879847278622007-08-26T11:24:00.000+02:002007-08-26T11:24:00.000+02:00I haven't seen many butterflies this summer! Of course snails are much easier to photograph ;)
Why didn't you take a pic of the toads?
I AM disappointed ;)
Have a nice SundayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-60200114362815725282007-08-26T08:07:00.000+02:002007-08-26T08:07:00.000+02:00That is a great looking butterfly.
